Exclusive Tiles in Brookvale: new stockists of Efflock
We are delighted that Exclusive Tiles in Brookvale are now stockists of Efflock. Scott McAlpine and his team are a quality independent tile store who know their industry intimately, and understand the technical needs of their customers. "Efflock is an exciting product for us, as efflorescence has been a common problem among our trade customers" said Scott. "The simplicity of adding 1% Efflock into the water to provide permanent efflorescence protection is brilliant." "The additional waterproofing protection that Efflock provides in a bathroom against membrane failure, damp and mould resistance is also very exciting" he said. Exclusive Tiles are located...

Galand Constructions have commenced their new and exciting project, 'The Post'. This new multi storey apartment block will occupy the former site of the Maroubra Post Office which is now located in Pacific Square (a modern shopping centre across the road which incidentally, has a bit of an efflorescence problem). Galand Constructions are quality builders, and as such, were one of the very first builders to use and continue to use Efflock on their projects, since it was launched 12 months ago. They have an impressive portfolio of high-end architect designed homes, and will be applying the same high standards...

Project manager for Casumo Constructions, Joe Metlage, enquired about Efflock late last month. "Like many builders, we've experienced problems with efflorescence in the past, and we are excited that...

Efflorescence in the UK
Efflorescence is clearly a problem the world over. Google has images and stories about efflorescence from all four corners of the globe. Common perception from most local tradesmen is that efflorescence comes from modern clay bricks. In some walls we have seen, the bricks do appear to produce salts which are seldom seen in Australia. However, for the most part, it does appear that porous mortar is the main culprit, or sometimes there is a combination of leaching from both...
