Efflock is an Australian owned building product that brings a simple and very cost effective solution to one of the most common and age-old defects in the building industry - efflorescence.
Efflorescence and leaks in wet area tiling are two major problems that have continued to cause distress and costly legal disputes between builders, subcontractors and owners.
Efflock was launched in 2012 by Ben Burdett. Ben's trade background is a carpenter, licensed waterproofer and a licensed builder. Based in Sydney for the last 10 years, Ben started his career on the South Coast of New South Wales. Since being awarded Master Builder's Association 'Apprentice of the Year' in 1996, Ben has worked broadly across the building industry from residential, commercial and remedial work to specialist heritage work including Mawson's Huts historic site in Antarctica. http://www.mawsons-huts.org.au
Ben first used Efflock in his own building projects in 2009 with great results. He is familiar with the challenges of supervising projects and quality control, and the importance of implementing quality building specification to reduce a builder's risk, at a reasonable cost. Efflock achieves exactly that, and is helping to change the building industry for the better.
