  Hydrophobic sealer for masonry release

  Efflock is about to release it's sister product called "Hydrophobic Sealer for Masonry". This new label will promote Efflock's lesser known function as a premium water repellent sealer for porous masonry. This sealer is a stand alone product, sold as a maximum concentrate that dilutes with water 9 times. This concept is in line with our goal to reduce plastic packaging, reduce transport costs and emissions, whilst providing toolbox convenience and the best economy. 1 litre of "Hydrophobic Sealer for Masonry" makes 10 litres of sealer, equating to around half the cost of existing equivalent sealers.

  Efflorescence in the UK

  Efflorescence is clearly a problem the world over. Google has images and stories about efflorescence from all four corners of the globe. During a visit to the UK, we have seen efflorescence leaching from the face brickwork of many new buildings and brick fences. Common perception from most local tradesmen is that efflorescence comes from modern clay bricks.   Are you trying to install a secondary membrane, but it keeps raining?!!

  Having Efflock in a tile bed means a secondary membrane to control efflorescence is no longer required. However, Efflock is proving very useful to a number of our customers who still prefer to install a secondary membrane on their tiled balconies as another line of defence.  An apartment block in Sydney with efflorescence stains from the top balcony streaming down the facade.   Trade feedback: Efflock used in render

  Efflock is ideal as an additive for render. Efflock is pictured here, specified by the builder in a bathroom renovation, as an additional barrier in the water proofing system. Ian the renderer used his preferred mix using 4 Sydney sand, 1 cement, with plasticisers of Bycol and renderer's clay. Even with renderer's clay in the mix, Efflock works. Ian was pleased with the workability of the mix, and the simplicity of adding just 1% Efflock to the gauging water to create water repellent walls!
