Read more →In recent meetings with Multiplex, we had the opportunity to tour a large project that used Efflock in approximately 4000m2 of tiling completed around 4 years ago. Joe Metlage of Casumo Constructions is the builder and still has his office located in the said building at 8 Bourke Street Mascot, in Sydney. It was pleasing to see that Efflock has performed extremely well, keeping efflorescence under control in the expansive common areas. The tile screeds are up to 200mm thick and the granite and bluestone paving and G684 basalt cobblestones are in excellent condition, free from efflorescence deposits and picture framing. Natural...

Grand Designs: Kevin McCloud revisits a house with efflorescence
Read more →Grand Designs often follows incredibly interesting building projects. A story following a house built in the Kent countryside in 2008 was no exception. The architect and owner constructed an experimental, unreinforced, terracotta arched building supporting an earth roof with tiles manufactured from clay onsite. The building was risky but has proved a great success and extremely energy efficient, even providing an income for the owners! Unfortunately two years later during Kevin's revisit, efflorescence has left it's mark: Kevins face says it.....should have used Efflock! ....Of course Efflock didn't even exist at the time this house was built, but perhaps...
